September 19, 2026 : Beyond the Familiar

Today we went to Kyoto Station.
Le Temps in Hotel Granvia Kyoto.
Ice cream with chestnut and sweet red bean paste.
What caught my eye the most was the Mont Blanc.
Thin strands of chestnut cream were heaped up high.
Chestnut tart, caneles, cake, and jelly.
As gorgeous as expected from hotel sweets.
Then, mitarashi dango.
After we finished eating, we went up to the top of Kyoto Station.
Kyoto Tower, seen beyond the "KYOTO" letters.
The Grand Stairway at Kyoto Station.
A huge atrium.
A walkway crossing high in the air.
A steel framework spreading out like a wall.
At the gateway to Kyoto, there's a futuristic space like this.
We didn't go anywhere far today,
but I still came across views I had never seen before.
