In the consultation room, a patient said, "The last time I was here, you actually found out that I had heart disease. I had surgery after that."
It's such a joy, especially for someone working in preventive medicine, to see patients return healthy.
"Everything looks perfect now," I said.
There's nothing like seeing patients get better after you've helped identify their disease.
It really makes my day. Preventive medicine provides these quiet joys.
