Tuesday, January 28, 2025 : Flowers That Bloom in Time

In the morning I went to the clinic to see patients and something happened that made me happy.
A patient told me that his tumour had been detected in this clinic.
Then I checked his medical records, and found out that I was the one who suspected a tumour based on X-ray images, and sent him for further tests.
Later, a tumour was found and he underwent surgery.
The patient said, "You found so many things for me", and my heart was full.
Sometimes things like that happen and they always make me happy.
Since I work in preventive medicine, there is no greater joy than that.
Even when the job feels hard, moments like this are like a flower that blooms in the midst of darkness.
It's the flowers that encourage me to keep going, even in difficult times.
In the afternoon, I visited the facility.
On the way back, I passed a familiar road, the road I cycled along with my father after taking the national medical exam.
Looking back now, that time seems so bright. I didn't see it that way then, but now I wish I could go back to those days.
I'm sure I'll feel the same way in the future and wish I could go back.
Time is a mysterious thing. It's only later, that we realize the value of the moment that has passed.
When the moment is in front of us, it is often lost in the routine of our daily lives, and we don't recognize it as something special.
But when we look back, we realize that each of those moments was an irreplaceable treasure.
The ordinary scenes of daily life, the words you exchange with someone, the events that you think are not so special,
all of them, as time passes, we come to realize that the moment was a precious one.
Knowing the true value of "moments now" can make our lives more fulfilling.
