January 25, 2025 : Well Balanced With Traditional Charm

Kamo River was very calm today, which made me feel relaxed.
As we crossed the Shijo Bridge, Gion Street opened up in front of us.
The Minami-za Theatre is located near the Shijo Bridge, a place that reminds me of the traditional atmosphere of Kyoto.
The Ito Kyuemon was filled with a serene atmosphere, overflowing with the beauty of traditional Japanese design.
I had heard that the Tale of Genji Matcha Dessert Plate was limited to 15 servings per day, so I decided to order it without hesitation.
Fortunately, there were only 2 plates left, so I ordered both for us.
When the plates were brought to the table, I was struck by the design.
In the bottom right corner was a silhouette of the Tale of Genji, drawn in sugar.
I was amazed at the craftsmanship.
I savoured each bite, and felt that the matcha flavour and sweetness were well balanced.
After leaving Ito Kyuemon on Shijo Street, we noticed that it was raining, so we took a break at a nearby Tully's Coffee.
We stayed there for a while, drinking coffee and resting until 9PM.
After the break, the rain had stopped, so we decided to visit Yasaka Shrine.
The atmosphere of Yasaka Shrine at night was completely different from that during the day, with a mystical and serene atmosphere.
In the serene grounds, I reflected on the events of the day and spent a quiet and soothing time in the silence of the night.
