February 14, 2010 : Leaving for Japan on This Valentine's Day

Today, I am leaving for Japan.
I left the house a little after 4 AM, while it was still pitch dark.
Houses with snow-covered roofs and the road under the streetlights. This was my last look at the town where I had lived for a month.

Before I left, my friend in Canada gave me a chocolate.
I was leaving the country on Valentine's Day, but I got to receive it before I went.
Back in Japan, three more are guaranteed, because I have three older sisters.
So, this year, I will receive chocolates from both countries, Japan and Canada!
After the long flight, I was in Tokyo the next evening. The skyscrapers were lit up against the night sky.
Then the 9:20 PM Nozomi to Kyoto. At 11:31 PM, I was back in Kyoto for the first time in a month.
