Tuesday, January 4, 2005 : New Year's Visit to Heian Jingu Shrine

I went to Heian Jingu Shrine with my sisters and nephew for our first shrine visit of the year.
After visiting Heian Shrine, we walked to Yasaka Shrine... it was freezing cold.
Then we walked all the way to "Tsujiri" for matcha parfaits.
Braving the biting winter winds at night just to eat a delicious parfait.
Do we really have to go that far just for a matcha parfait?
As a man, I just can't understand it. After walking through the freezing winter night, wouldn't a ramen shop be a better choice?
Having to eat something cold after enduring the cold...
It's freezing. Way too cold.
