Wednesday, January 18, 1995 : Aftershocks, Aftermaths
© 安岡喜晴 (JoyShine)

Early in the morning, while I was sleeping, there was a fairly large aftershock from yesterday's big earthquake.

I arrived at 9:40, an hour late, but school had started at 9:40, because of yesterday's earthquake.
One of our teachers, who lives in Nishinomiya, was absent.
Many students from areas near Kobe were also absent.

Today there were only four periods (usually six), with shorter lessons (40 minutes instead of the usual 50).
The fourth period turned into self-study because of the teacher's absence, so I went home after the third period.
