Estimates risk of contrast-induced nephropathy after percutaneous coronary intervention from eight weighted clinical and renal factors, stratifying patients into low-to-very-high risk; this eGFR-tier version is separate from the updated 2021 Mehran CA-AKI model.

Hypotension (SBP < 80 mmHg for ≥ 1 hr requiring inotrope or balloon pump within 24 h peri-procedure)

Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) use

Congestive heart failure (NYHA class III/IV and/or history of pulmonary edema)

Age > 75 years (strict; exactly 75 = No)

Anemia (baseline hematocrit < 39% in men, < 36% in women)

Diabetes mellitus
