Lok Index (Cirrhosis Probability in Chronic HCV/HBV)
Estimates the probability of cirrhosis from routine labs (platelet count, AST/ALT ratio, INR) in chronic hepatitis C or B; a non-invasive screening index, not a substitute for liver biopsy or elastography, and derived and validated in chronic viral hepatitis (HALT-C cohort), not a general-population diagnostic.
