Estimates the probability of acute gout in a patient with monoarthritis from seven weighted clinical predictors to triage acute gout (low, intermediate, high) in primary care without joint-fluid crystal analysis; not a substitute for crystal-proven diagnosis.

Previous patient-reported arthritis attack (+2)

Onset within 24 hours (maximum inflammation within 1 day) (+0.5)

Joint redness (erythema over the affected joint) (+1)

First metatarsophalangeal (MTP1) joint involvement (+2.5)

Hypertension or one or more cardiovascular diseases (+1.5)

Serum urate > 5.88 mg/dL (> 0.35 mmol/L) (+3.5)
