INTERCHEST Score

INTERCHEST Score estimates the likelihood of coronary artery disease in primary-care patients with chest pain to support outpatient rule-out decisions. Rule-out aid for stable presentations only; does not exclude acute coronary syndrome and is not a substitute for ECG/troponin in suspected acute MI.

History of coronary artery disease (prior MI, revascularization, known CAD) (+1)

Female aged 65 or older, or male aged 55 or older (+1)

Chest pain related to (brought on or worsened by) effort (+1)

Pain reproducible by chest-wall palpation (NEGATIVE: Yes subtracts 1 point)

Physician initially suspected a serious condition (+1)

Chest discomfort feels like "pressure" (+1)
