ATRIA Bleeding Risk Score

Estimates major hemorrhage risk in atrial-fibrillation patients on oral anticoagulation from five weighted clinical factors (anemia, severe renal disease, older age, prior bleeding, hypertension).

Anemia status entry method (anemia = Hgb < 13 g/dL men, < 12 g/dL women)

Sex (required only in hemoglobin-entry mode; men < 13, women < 12 g/dL)

Hemoglobin (g/dL, 3-25; required only in hemoglobin-entry mode)

Severe renal disease (eGFR < 30 mL/min/1.73m² OR dialysis-dependent) (+3)

Age ≥ 75 years (+2)

Any prior hemorrhage diagnosis (e.g. GI bleed, intracranial hemorrhage) (+1)

Diagnosed hypertension (history of) (+1)
